That’s why we build our replacement elements using high-density short-wave infrared. How it actually works Think of it like the sun. Instead of heating the room, these lamps send energy straight to your skin. We use a tungsten filament inside a quartz tube that kicks in the second you flip the switch. Even if there’s a drafty door or a cold breeze blowing through the changing area, you feel the warmth immediately. It’s fast. Really fast. Dealing with the damp Here is the problem: steam and splashes are killers for standard heating lamps. If moisture gets into the electricals, the lamp shorts out or burns through way too early. We don’t take chances with that. We wrap these elements in IP65-rated housings. In plain English? The seals are tight enough to keep out dust and water jets. It keeps the guts of the heater dry, which means it actually lasts. You can’t just throw a basic lamp into a wet zone and hope for the best; the casing has to be built for the chaos of a humid environment. Getting them installed We designed these to be simple drop-in replacements. We use standard connectors, so you can get them wired up without having to rebuild your entire chassis or get creative with the hardware. But a quick heads-up on the power side of things. These high-wattage tubes pull a lot of current. If you’re upgrading to something more powerful, please double-check your circuit breakers and wire gauges. You don’t want to overload the line and melt your insulation or trip the power halfway through the day. Also, just make sure your voltage matches—230V or 400V—before you plug it in. It would be a shame to blow the filament on the very first try.
