It&amp;rsquo;s a huge liability. That’s why we build our carbon fiber lamps with a specific kind of encapsulation. It stops the ignition and keeps those nasty corrosive vapors from chewing through the heating element.&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;h2 id=&#34;why-carbon-fiber&#34;&gt;Why Carbon Fiber?&lt;/h2&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;We swapped out traditional tungsten for carbon fiber filaments. Why? Because carbon fiber can take a lot more thermal stress. It also spreads heat evenly across the tube.&#xA;This is a big deal because it gets rid of those localized hot spots. If chemical fumes leak into the heating zone, you don&amp;rsquo;t want a random &amp;ldquo;hot point&amp;rdquo; triggering a flash fire.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
