Dealing with heat stress
High-density IR heat is intense. It creates these massive temperature swings that can make lesser materials crack under the pressure. We use reinforced seals at the feed-through points to make sure that vacuum stays tight. Because if those seals go? Your safety barrier is gone. One heads-up, though. All that protection adds some thermal mass. You’ll notice it takes a bit longer to hit your operating temperature compared to an open-air lamp. It’s a small trade-off, but you’ll want to tweak your PID controllers to handle that lag so you don’t accidentally overshoot your target temp.
